Service Market Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations. We have 4900 employees on more than 50 locations world-wide. Our job is to design, handle and optimize the supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and for selected customers within the automotive industry. The scope for Service Market Logistics that Parts for Service Market are distributed to the dealers, and that management of material, warehouses and distribution ensures the availability of parts everywhere in the world. We make sure all logistics services are delivered with world class operational excellence.
Role (Purpose of the job)
The Material Controller is responsible for Planning, Procurement & Scheduling of After-market Parts for Group & Non-group Suppliers. The person should have thorough knowledge in Materials Management, Supplier management, Inventory Management and must work closely with Business Areas, Purchasing, Manufacturing plants, Warehouses and Transportation network. The person is responsible to ensure timely availability of parts from import & local suppliers by working through the entire supply chain and provide with the best overall service levels, meet & exceed established goals.
Key Responsibilities
. Responsible for refill co-ordination with Central Distribution Centre's and scheduling of parts for Non-group Material Suppliers for both Local and Overseas for all Business Areas by working with approved Liners, Forwarders, Transporters, CHA's for Sea/ Air/ Surface.
. Work closely with the all Business areas to get monthly forecasts / Initial stocking lists which enables for scheduling to Material suppliers.
. Release of daily schedules to Material Suppliers and Maintain record / follow up based on priority of class of orders with top most attention for parts required for Vehicle off Road
. Ensure weekly availability and Back order recovery targets are met.
. Ensure all queries from Operations are resolved and documents uploaded in VIPS System
. Work closely with Purchase to resolve pricing issues and ensure on time payments to supplier
. Monitor and review performance of Material suppliers on a Monthly basis
. Ensure 100% ETA for all Back order parts in system
. Continuous improvements culture using VPS concepts (Kaizen, PSM,VSM)
. Dealer Buy Back analysis and approval for return as per agreed process
. Ensure Improve Inventory Turns and reduction of scrap due to NRV
. Export co-ordination with CDC's

Qualification
. Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Graduate from a recognized University.
. ERP Knowledge in Materials Management, WMS, SAP.
. 5 to 8 years of Procurement Knowledge in an Automotive Industry
