The successful applicant will be part of the Software Environment/Platform Management Team. The SEM team is responsible for setting up and maintaining the controls around (and therefore protecting the integrity of), the application software, testing environments and associated supporting infrastructure products for the TTS Core Banking Technology Applications, throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
The SEM Analysts are involved in all aspects of platform management, such as setup and maintenance of the core banking technology platforms, testing environment setup, application lifecycle controls from development through to production, application infrastructure support for core banking applications in NAM & LATAM region.
The role is technical in nature and the successful candidate will be expected to learn various traditional and native cloud platform management, as well as build a working knowledge of the application environment setup on the AIX & LINUX UNIX platform along with unix scripting and sound RDBMS knowledge, to carry out their role effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
The requirements and responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
Day to day Support of Flexcube Applications and Teams across several regions
Design and develop the required framework/layout/procedures for application deployment
Design and develop custom processes for application/environment monitoring and standardization
Provide advice and guidance on fine tuning the performance of application
Coordination of infrastructure activities with various admin & application teams
Work with Business Team for Level 3 support to troubleshooting and resolve, debugging, upgrading and migration
Work with problem tickets resolution and change management
Work with applications and databases logs and reports also proactively address any issues that may impact environment stability
Automation of BAU tasks via Unix/Python/Perl scripting
Improvements in tools and environments delivered to business.
Produce and maintain clear, concise documentation for the SEM area and the wider group.
Build and establish relationships with stakeholders, chair & minute planning meetings
Work closely with other SEM team members to ensure appropriate cover is provided during the working day and where required, be prepared on occasion to work out of hours and weekends to support upgrades or new releases to the applications.
Take responsibility for interfacing with different technical teams and stakeholders to prepare, deliver and drive release planning activities, ensuring that any risks are escalated appropriately.
Knowledge/Experience:
The successful candidate should have experience in the following areas:
- Hands on Oracle Database and SQL, Unix OS, Shell Scripts, Python, Java
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (Agile, Waterfall) Methodologies
- Experience with IBM Application Servers 8.5x Architecture and Environment Setup.
- Experience with configuration management
- Experience of working with remote teams in different time zones.
- Proven experience of participating in and helping to drive project tasks to their natural conclusion
- On call Support for weekend/late nights for production releases
- CI/CD Engineering experience.
- Excellent knowledge on SVN, GIT, UDeploy and Jira is a must.
- System administration/development exposure
Skills:
The following skills are required:
- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English.
- Ability to explain processes and procedures to partner teams and willingness to enforce them.
- Technical experience in a development or support role using UNIX, Oracle and Middleware technology
- Strong UNIX/Python scripting skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- Oracle 11g/12c/19c admin/developer.
- TIBCO/Red Hat FUSE/Talend
- Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments.
- Experience in producing spreadsheets for monthly reporting
- Ability to produce easily understood documentation
