Job Description

A network QA Intermediate Engineer should be
Responsible for developing quality Test plans for new features in the product by reviewing the Design spec/functional guide and by closely working with Development team and other test counter parts
Should raise high quality defects (customer oriented) through testing and track them to closure by working closely with the development team
Work on continuous improvement of test plan by analyzing the customer escalations/Issues
Should develop in-depth knowledge on the networking protocols over the years
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 2-4 years experience.
- Have Good Networking domain knowledge (Ethernet switching, Layer2 Protocols, Operating Systems)
- Should have skills, experience and expertise on testing L2 Protocols (e.g. Link Aggregation, Distributed Trunking, MSTP, PVST, MPLS, VxLAN, L2-VPN, VLAN, LLDP/CDP, Private VLAN, ERPS, MVRP, Vlan Translation etc.)
- Should have scripting knowledge with Python
- Should know on how to use traffic generation tools like Ixia, Spirent etc
- Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills. Debugging skills
- Should know Testing methodologies, Test Life cycle and have Test plan authoring skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
