Job Description
Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Job duties
Requirement Analysis, Impact Analysis, Backlog Refinement
Review / Analyze Requirements given some guidance from more senior members of the
team.
Active participation in teams discussions on requirements.
Clarify doubts at beginning of project, get better understanding of requirements.
Liaise with engineering team over design && implementation details.
Project Meetings
Participate actively in project meetings to provide updates of progress, impediment and
any issues
Provide clear updates on progress, issues and concerns during team stand-up.
Update team (via slack/email) if you cannot attend the stand-up.
General (these responsibilities are performed while executing the previous categories)
Continuously focus to improve product knowledge at all levels - Business flows,
architecture, etc.
Liaise with SMEs for any clarifications/training needs.
Fill Timesheets on time and accurately follow the guidelines.
Adhere to the Process and Guidelines, Both Department and Organization wise.
Request for training or sessions whenever required.
Review the Documentation if there are changes around the features and keep it
updated.
Be reliable and show ownership when required.
Show high Professional Ethics and maintain positive interactions at all levels.
Have excellent Verbal and Written Communications and choose the right mode of
communication - in-person discussions, Slack messages, Phone call or Emails.
Join meetings on time and prepare beforehand for meetings where required.
Required skills for the position:
3+ years of web-based test management experience using two or more of the following tools:
JIRA, XML, SoapUI, API , Xray , Salesforce
BS or MS in Computer Science OR related technical discipline.
Knowledge of SQL (Standard Query Language) is highly desired
Knowledge of relational databases is highly desired
knowledge of Test Automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, etc. is strongly desired
Knowledge of back end and/or API Testing is highly desired
