We are looking for a Linux Administrator who is responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the Server Infrastructure. He will also be collaborating with remote teams on deployment strategies and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- 4+ years of experience Experience with RedHat based Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS or Fedora, OS on Ubuntu and Apache Tomcat.
- Ability to lift and install Server, Storage, and Network Hardware Working knowledge of at least one RDBMS, eg Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, etc,.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
- Experience with Linux Servers & Virtualization Experience in installing, configuring and maintaining services such as Nginx, Apache, Percona etc. Familiarity with load balancer, HAProxy.
- Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
- Understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation. Create simple shell scripts
- Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes.
- Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, and core services.Manage users and groups
- Manage security, including basic firewall and Linux configuration.Perform basic container management
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.Network security experience; LAN and WAN experience.
