US MNC : Machine Shop Supervisor / Engineer @ Mumbai / Navi MumbaiDepartment: Manufacturing
Reports To : Machine Shop Manager
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for Production Planning & Control, Regular part Changeovers/Setups monitoring, Machine specific & Part quality trouble shooting, Toolings & Other Consumable Inventory management.
Education & Experience:
B.E./Diploma (Mechanical/Production) with about 8 years of experience in manufacturing sector with extensive experience of Turn mill &/or Swiss type Machines
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution
Toolings & Other Consumables Management
Manage / supervise CNC programming for Turn mill & Sliding Head CNC Machines
Approve & validate various manufacturing processes & documents for new products
Manage production as per plan through optimum utilization of Man & Machine & responsible Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), PPM defects, On time delivery Targets
Adopt & implement new techniques for cost & time saving measures
Functional Competencies:
Hands on experience in Production floor & Manpower management
Hands on experience on Turn mill & Swiss type sliding head Machines like Tsugami, Tornos & Citizen
Hands on experience in programming for Swiss type sliding head machines.
Sound knowledge on process development & documentations
Good in Analyzing production trends & put countermeasures
Good in trouble shooting
Good Knowledge & understanding of Machine Utilization & OEE
Good Knowledge of Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED)
Development of Jigs, Tools & Fixtures
Selection of cutting tools, their life & supplier selection
Good in drawing reading & GD& T
Knowledge about CAD/CAM
Key Relationships:
Internal: Manufacturing, Quality & Engineering team
External: Suppliers & subcontractors
Personal Trait/Profile:
Ability to interact with management, suppliers & internally in machine shop
Result oriented
Manpower handling skill
Strong analytical skills with detail orientation
Language Skills
Possess good oral & written communication (Hindi/Marathi/English but not mandatory)

Do you have knowledge of Production Planning & Control, Regular part Changeovers/Setups monitoring, Machine specific & Part quality trouble shooting, Toolings & Other Consumable Inventory management
Do you have Knowledge of Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) , Machine utilization & OEE
Do you have knowledge of GD& T , CAD / CAM , of cutting tools, their life & supplier selection
