Software Engineer @ Zenatix

Zenatix is looking for a young enthusiastic software developer to take ownership of the development and enhancement of the firmware running on Zenatix edge devices (connecting sensors to the cloud stack). Majority of the work will involve development in Python, besides including opportunity for lower level C/Golang development supported with some shell scripts. The person must be result oriented with a desire to work in a start-up and should be open to learn new technologies and frameworks in order to mature the overall tech stack. Zenatix is open to publishing the work outcomes as research papers in top conferences in the domain.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Development and enhancement of firmware code for Zenatix edge devices - largely running some version of Linux OS
• Support for robust communication with the sensors and cloud, exploiting different communication protocols (varying from web protocols like HTTP and MQTT to standard digital/analog outputs)
• Support for analysis on the edge devices - generating real time alerts, performing real time control as well as supporting for features that require buffering the data
• Extending the edge device' firmware with a vision to develop it as a standalone device

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in similar profile
• Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science from top tier institutes
• High proficiency in Python or Java programming language together with strong understanding of object-oriented programming including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• Ability to wear many hats at the same time
• Capability and desire to work in dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal direction
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
