Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a production-oriented discipline combining deep software engineering and systems skills. We take engineering-based approaches to solve operations problems. We are responsible for improving service availability, latency, scalability, performance, and efficiency. We have interest in behavior of distributed systems generally. We care deeply about software quality and how software is constructed and designed with a production-oriented focus on monitoring, release processes, safe deployments, performance optimization, capacity management, crisis response, resiliency engineering and similar concerns beyond pure functionality which are relevant to improving reliability. Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, related math/engineering field, or 5+ years of equivalent industry software engineering experience

6+ years of software development: automation-related experience valued. Scripting languages such as bash, python, and PowerShell, or compiled languages such as C, C# and Go are most relevant, but others are acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing and managing cloud services in a development, operations, or site reliability engineering role.

A passion for using telemetry to understand customer usage patterns as well as to diagnose and fix issues promptly in production services.

Ability to think creatively, bring diverse experience to bear on problems, and encourage other diverse perspectives.

Ability to drive sound architecture, design, and implementation through hands-on development.

Experience in collaboration across teams within and outside the organization.
