Job Description
Position DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:
Prepare and book month end accruals entries
Prepare and post expenses of re-class Journals
Work with month-end close activities and reporting
Account reconciliation
Research on expenses, receivables and payables related to medical services
Prepare internal and external audit support documentation
Engage in various system projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters in Accounting (B.Com/M.Com)
- Relevant experience into General Accounting and Analysis experience
- Attention to detail and understands the reporting requirement for integrity of the general ledger string (legal entity, location, date of service, etc.)
- Analytical mindset - Inclination towards looking at different datasets/relevant tools/statistical models/completion factors (average cost PMPM, claims history run-out) to a great extent before arriving at a judgment or an estimate
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to demonstrate good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
- Ability to communicate in an effective manner
- Ability to collaborate with peers to complete projects
- Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
- Very good team player
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health care experience
- Exposure to PeopleSoft, Oracle, Black line
- Month end close knowledge
