APPLICATION DESIGN ASSISTANTSummary
As an application design assistant , you are expected to understand UPS and other datacenter related products and its application (Electromechanical and cooling aspect). Also expected to present the electromechanical part with all relevant details/information in an easily understandable, simple 2D, 3D format as required.

Responsibilities
Knowledge
- Understand the application representation needs from the project leader.
- Come up with list of drawings based on the requirement
- Create/derive drawings from various sources/formats.
- Use the standard templates, standards and rules for the application solutions.
- Create relevant electrical one-line diagram, system wiring diagram and mechanical representation of product with installation and internal details as required.
- Use creativity for simplified representations (without compromising the details).
- Deliver the same with quality and on time as per the project requirement.
Knowledge
- Familiar of Electrical application design/representation standards (IEEE/IEC/NEMA/UL).
- Drafting standards (electrical & mechanical) for various regions for worldwide customers.
- Ability to interpret the technical specifications and application limitations/constraints of various products and translate into meaningful representations.
- Familiar about the Building information modeling (Revit family) standards with various LODs, representation and its parameters for global customers for various electrical/ mechanical products.
Qualification and prior experience
- Degree in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 6 - 8 years of experience in creating application design representation which includes system one line diagram/system wiring control/signal interface diagram/ mechanical (internal/ external + installation details) for various products in 2D and 3D format with all technical specifications in a simplified and easily understandable layout with familiarity in understanding various regional electrical and mechanical standards for worldwide application.
Expertise in design tools (must)
- AutoCAD 2020, Solidworks 2016, Pro-E creo-2, Revit 2016 or higher version/s of each mentioned tool.
Communication Skill: Professional communication skill (English) in written and oral is a must.
Additional skills (not mandatory)
- Script writing for automation in Solidworks to dwg conversion.
- Dynamo scripting for Revit automation
