Job Description

 

The Piping Stress Engineer with 2-4 years of experience need to possess the following set of skills:

Experience in power plants/oil and gas plants. CAESAR II experience is a must working knowledge in 3D tools such as E3D, SP3D /PDMS and AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.

Piping Stress Engineer should provide technical expertise on piping design. He/She should develop Static and Dynamic piping models and analyze system stresses using software like Caesar II, CAEPIPE etc. He/She should verify the piping layout, supports, and ensure sufficient flexibility of the piping system.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Conduct pipe stress engineering of piping systems as per ASME, ANSI B31.1, B31.3 code needs using Caesar II software program.
Perform evaluation of nozzle loads or vessels stress utilizing WRC 107/297 capability of Caesar II program.
Develop engineering computations and evaluations.
Conduct complex engineering tasks along with key engineering work properly and efficiently.
Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, thermal cycle loads and wind.
Select proper springs for necessary support.
Ensure to complete different assignments like drawings, parameters and varied materials apt for procurement plus construction purposes.
Evaluate Stress, Displacement, Forces and moments on restraints for support design and Evaluate piping loads with in allowable allowable nozzle loads.
Nozzle Flexibilities (WRC) and Stresses.
Flange Leak Check.
Data sheet preparation for Expansion joints, spring hanger data sheet and updating the Pipe support standards
Interact frequently with various engineering disciplines and departments.
Develop detailed requisitions for pipe stress equipment s and materials.
Review vendor drawing submittals and conduct technical bid evaluation.
Develop and issue parameters, data sheets and varied construction documents.
Should have strong communication skills
