Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer who can participate in the detailed design and development activities for this product build.
The role involves extensive hands-on activities. Here are key job responsibilities:
- Understand the Payments industry and where Visa Direct fits in the ecosystem
- Understand the business initiatives and their importance to the growth of Visa Direct.
- Develop a good understanding of the Visa Direct technology platform.
- Collaborate with product owners and developers to define test scenarios and write good functional end-to-end tests.
- Question and think outside of acceptance criteria to identify exception scenarios, error states, etc.
- Be accountable for quality of software and defect management lifecycle. Attend to details and consistently exhibit a strong sense of ownership.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team as well as across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and manage risks at all stages of the project.
- Adherence to practices such as test coverage, open defect counts, continuous integration, code reviews, code quality and shift left practices.
- Stay up to date with new testing approaches, tools, technologies, and test strategies.
- Drive improvements in processes and frameworks across the team.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of Quality Assurance Experience.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Experience in Rest API testing, performance testing basics and security/authentication.
- Proficiency in Java 8+ (Core Java, Collection Framework, JDBC, Functional Programming).
- Experience with automation testing tools such as RestAssured, TestNG, JSON and XML Parsers, Jenkins, Cucumber and Github.
- Creating and maintaining automated tests using selenium
- Proficiency in usage of SQL queries and creating stored procedures.
- Ability to lead demos at the end of the sprint.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter/LoadRunner and security testing is a plus.
- Knowledge on containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Kafka and cloud-based application architecture and principles is a plus
