Desired Candidate Profile
Job Description :Must have minimum 3+ years of experience in BigData DB
- Solid understanding of BigData data modeling patterns and anti-patterns; experience working closely with development teams to design & optimize database schema based on application access patterns.
- Extensive experience in managing highly-available, large, multi-datacenter across Cassandra & MongoDB clusters in production and lower environments.
- Experience scaling CassandraMongoDB clusters to support high read/write throughput and tuning CassandraMongoDB & the JVM for low- latency response times.
- Strong experience in configuring Kafka, Kafka API, Spark, Spark Streaming,
- Experience in setting up Cassandra CDC (change data capture) and Cassandra Triggers as connector with Kafka.
- Experience scripting administrative tasks using python or shell scripts.
- Experience with Database migration including minor, major version upgrade as well as migration across platforms.
- Experience with configuration management and source control systems (Jenkins, ZooKeeper, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GIT, SVN).
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating system management & fundamentals.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to review application data models and traffic requirements; identify data model issues and potential bottlenecks; recommend schema design changes, compaction strategies, & other improvements.
- Analysis of database access patterns to isolate hotspots, data model problems, and other bottlenecks.
- Plan, test, and execute standard cluster maintenance activities & DB version upgrades.
- Perform proactive capacity planning and forecasting based on database usage patterns and new business initiatives.
- Drive an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
- Establish standards and best practices for operating a high-performance, distributed NoSQL computing environment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
- Analyze data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s).
- Optimize, and certify database schema designs to meet system(s) requirements.
- Communication, coordination and planning with Engineering, Infra and development teams.
Key Accountabilities :
The Database Specialist will be accountable for the following :
1. Data modeling, implementing and migrating data across environments
2. Database quality, performance, availability, scalability and integrity.
3. Perform data load, import, export and object maintenance.
4. Perform the complete Administrative activities in BigData DBs.
5. Possesses excellent analytical skills and should have worked in Production support.

UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
