JD FOR MICU NURSING STAFFJob Description
Department Nursing Title Critical Care (MICU,NICU,PICU,LABOUR ROOM)
Qualification Minimum B.Sc./GNM Nursing
Academics - Graduate with good grades
Reporting to MICU - Nursing Incharge
KRAs - 1.Accompanying the patient to CT,X-ray, USG & Sometimes to other hospitals.
2.Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
3.Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
4. Should be able to assist in various procedures, provides basic bedside care
5.Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication and rehabilitation
6.Records patients medical information and vital signs
7.Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients condition 8.Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient
9.Applies Hemodynamic, Phlebotomy and IV protocols
10.Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
11.Monitors catheters, leads and tubing for proper placement and functioning
12. Knowledge about airway management, equipment, use and care. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients and interprets and records electronic displays 13.Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
Skill requirement/background
1. Should speak and understand English & Hindi. 2. Well versed with medical equipment 3. Ability of imparting health education on personal hygiene, nutrition and discharge.
