Multi-Specialty Medical Coder
Work Location : Noida/Hyderabad
Shift :12:00 -9:00 PM
Job Summary
The candidate should have good coding knowledge with proficiency in ICD and CPT. Candidate should be crystal clear in basic coding guidelines and Coding Clinic. Any AAPC/AHIMA Certification is mandatory and should be able to support the process and can work on multiple clients altogether.
Roles & Responsibilities/ Mandatory Requirements
- Perform a variety of activities involving the coding of medical records by ascribing accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 and CPT-4 systems of coding
- Perform Coding for records pertaining to surgeries performed with a minimum of 95% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements
- Should be proficient in multiple aspects of coding like Surgery, EM (IP and OP)/ED/Anesthesia
- Candidate with Surgery experience will be the add on
- Should meet the Productivity standard for the Client assigned
- Maintains high degree of professional and ethical standards
- Focuses on continuous improvement by working on projects that enables customers to arrest revenue leakage while being in compliance with the standards
- Focuses on updating coding skills, knowledge, and accuracy by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences
- Flexible for shift time as 12:00 Noon to 9:00 PM IST
Qualification & Experience
- Graduates with minimum 3 years of experience in Medical Coding in different specialty like Surgery/ED/EM/Anesthesia
- Experience of 2 years in Surgery coding is Preferred
- Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Any certification is enough like CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC/AHIMA
- Current Coding certification with valid proof of certifications
