Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer (SSE) works within Rave/NEC development group.
The team is tasked to deliver new projects driven by customer requirements, modifications/enhancements to existing areas of the applications, bespoke solutions directly to specific clients and support maintenance, either through bug fixing or working with the Customer Management group on more technical issues raised by customers.
Qualification Criteria/Work Experience
Essential:
Ability to translate LLD into code.
Should have strong Analytical Skill.
Should be able to write technical design specifications/documents and test cases.
Producing code to the specification within agreed estimates and timescales.
Ability to create Unit Test cases.
Is able to do understand Impact of code in relevant modules.
Familiarity with Functional Hierarchy Diagrams, Entity Relationship models and server model design.

Hands-on Experience (Years) Priority
ORACLE SQL - 5 - 7 yrs
PL/SQL - Strong PL/SQL Programming skills, experience in writing Database Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Objects/Collections in PL/SQL - 5 - 7 yrs
Databases: ORACLE 12c or above - 5 - 7 yrs
Oracle Forms 6i [4.5/5/9i/10g], -0 -7yrs
Oracle APEX [5.0 or above] - 2 -5yrs
Tools
SQL*Plus - 0 -7yrs
Oracle Designer 6i/2000, - 0 -7yrs
Toad - 0 -7yrs
Explain Plan and Trace tools for SQL performance tuning - 0 - 7yrs
Desirable:
Pro C or C, XML, HTML and HTML DB experience would be of benefit to the role
Experience of Ajax/javaScrip and HTML page
XML parsing also would be of benefit to the role

Overall Project/Task description
Production of Quality Code by team members including
Producing code to the specification within agreed estimates and timescales
Following current quality standards and procedures
Ensure his/her own work is peer reviewed
Carrying out peer reviews
Carrying out Unit Tests
Liaising with Testing and Product to resolve simple issues
Escalating other issues to the Team Lead/Project Manager in a timely manner
Continuous Improvement including
Suggesting improvements to the Development practices to increase productivity and quality
Release Management including
Following current configuration management procedures so that correct versions of the code are available for build
