Roles and Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
Build and lead a team of dedicated professionals to perform the following functions for SunnyBee Market, a prominent omni channel supermarket chain in Chennai.
1. Merchandising - curate & maintain a market-ready F&V, non F&V, & home/personal care SKU list that can be marketed for monthly stock-up & regular top-up needs of SunnyBee's customers. 2. Inventory planning - forecast demand to decide how much & how often to re-order in order to maintain high in-stock levels; keep inventory costs low while maintaining optimal inventory levels for SunnyBee's bright stores, dark stores, & mother DC.
3. Management of distribution center - follow industry best practices to run SunnyBee's distribution center to feed the bright & dark stores on a daily basis; roles - ordering, receiving, storage, bulkbreak, daily pick list generation, allocation, transportation, return to vendors, dump management, & inventory management.
4. Management of dark stores - run SunnyBee's network of dark stores (i.e. fulfillment centers) to fulfill end customers orders that originate from SunnyBee's own app & via 3rd party platforms; roles - receiving, product display, picking, packing, processing returns, billing, dump management, & inventory management.
5. Logistics planning - work with internal & 3rd party logistics providers to transport F&V, dry & coldchain items to/from bright & dark stores, on a daily basis; work with delivery partners to efficiently cover last mile delivery to end customers; optimize transportation costs while, at the same time, ensuring that the right items are in the right places at the right times.
6. Customer experience - obsess about SunnyBee's customer expectations & continually make process improvements to exceed those expectations; run SunnyBee's call center operations with an aim of enabling/empowering customer service executives to solve customers' problems & delight them; track relevant metrics (e.g. NPS) & ensure SunnyBee remains 'best in class' when it comes to customer experience. Education & Experience Requirements: 1. At least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. An MBA or related Masters degree will be a preferred. 2. At least 10 years of related industry experience performing similar roles. 3. At least 3-5 years of experience in B2C ECommerce companies either in individual capacity or in team lead/manager capacities.
