Job Description
Position: Cargo Officer / Sr.Cargo Officer (Air Cargo)
No.Of posts : 10
Work location: Delhi Airport
Educational Qualifications :
a. Minimum
- Graduate in any discipline
b. Additional(Preferred)
- Post Graduate in any discipline
C.Certifications(Preferred)
- Cargo handling operations related certifications
Experience required
a. Minimum :4-8 Years of industry relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquiring thorough knowledge of Air Cargo Handling procedures and systems. This also includes thoroughly understanding the operations manual of the customer airline.
- Undertaking document handling activities as defined by the Company including issuance of carting order, sending cargo arrival notice, issuing delivery orders, calculating correct charges due from customers agent with respect to the service rendered, freight collect charges, etc, collecting the same, preparing proper accounts statement of all cash / cheque collection and payment and submitting it to the accounts department.
- Maintaining proper and accurate records of all transactions on financial and non-financial communications, discrepancies and work-related matters.
- Effectively communicating operational matters and discrepancies to the seniors / customers timely and correctly.
- Assisting the shift supervisor / officer in effectively running, monitoring, controlling and supervising the shift, third party handling work, on behalf of our customer.
- Maintaining the discipline and decorum of the Company and warehouse at all times.
- Carry out the assigned task diligently, effectively and timely in order to achieve utmost quality level and therefore customer satisfaction.
Operational targets
- Executing the document handling process
- Entering information in the computer systems
- Handling customer traffic at the front counter
- Prepare or assist in preparation of documents for import and export (manifests, airway bills etc.) and shipments for trucking.
- Prepare and distribute documents to the appropriate government / agency
- Understand, send and respond to inquiries concerning tracing and booking requests.
Salary : upto 3.5 lpa for CO and upto 5 lpa for SCO positions
