Big Data Engineer @ Neptune consultants

Desired Candidate Profile

Responsibilities:

A broad understanding of deep technical skills and knowledge across hardware, software, systems and solutions development and across multiple technical domain.

Demonstrated experience in real world IT or other solutions environments including creating (on your own or with a team) a product or technical solution in the area of Big Data/Analytics /Cloud offering

Strong technical team leadership, mentorship and collaboration.
Ability to develop technical relationships with business users, architects and Big Data engineers/developers.
Strong ability to think strategically about business, Big Data/ Cloud platforms/products, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
Current hands-on implementation experience required; individual contributors only need apply.
Deep understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP databases, noSQL storage
Big Data Security including Hadoop security, Cloud security(a plus) and emerging technologies such as in-memory and edge computing

Programming language -- Java(must), Scala, Spark SQL.
Batch processing -- Hadoop MapReduce, Cascading/Scalding, Apache.
Stream processing -- Kafka, AKKA, Samza,Storm, flume
Workflow orchestrating tools/technology -- Airflow, Luigi
NoSQL -- HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Riak
Cloud technologies: Have strong understanding of cloud technologies with hands on experience with at least one of them: either Azure, AWS or Google.
ETL Tools: Data Stage, Informatica, Infoworks etc
Code/Build/Deployment -- git, hg, svn, maven, sbt, jenkins, bamboo

BS/MS in Computer Science or related area
Software development experience
Minimum 4 Year solid experience on Big Data Platform

UG:   B.Tech/B.E. - Computers, B.Sc - Computers
