Institutional Securities Technology (IST) is one of seven divisions within Technology & Data. We face off to the business and support services to develop and oversee the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the enterprise. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Global Capital Markets, Operations, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. We are responsible for Pioneer and Application Infrastructure, groups that look to develop foundational strategies, tools and technologies that are leveraged across Tech & Data, as well as standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.
We are looking for a full stack developer on the Equity Structured Products Trading department. The application, Deal Blotter, is used by the global Equity Derivatives flow businesses to facilitate the Pre-trade quoting process, Post-trade checks and includes automation of Pricing workflow, Term sheet generation, order capture and approval. As business grows, significant resources are being spent to build automation processes for various kinds of Equity Derivatives products. Benefits includes lower cost of trades processing, improved controls and revenue generation due to lower cost. Successful applicant will have the rare of opportunity to be part of a global team to develop and implement a large scale project as the Equity Structured Notes business grows.
Job Responsibilities
Work with various front-end/middleware/backend teams to implement and deliver sub-systems of Deal Blotter
Interface directly with business unit sponsors to gather requirements and document specifications
Involvement in the full development lifecycle of projects
Participate in driving future direction and architecture of the system.
Work with second level support team to provide production support
Skills
4-7 years core development experience.
Experience in one or more of the following development languages: Angular/ C#/.NET/ WPF.
Strong desire to work in a front office trading environment.
Eager to learn about business areas such as equities derivatives and structured products.
Eager to learn best practices in agile, design patterns, unit testing, performance/memory analysis, and n-tier architecture.
Ability to communicate with the business unit sponsors effectively and work within a large team to deliver projects successfully.
Strong verbal & written skills required to interact with global teams
