Desired Candidate Profile
Role Automation Test Engineer (Developer+ Tester)Must haves:
6+ years experience as test automation/development engineer at a software product company
2/3 years as Developer role would be preferred.
Computer related degree (e.g. Computer Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)
Looking to continue career in hands on software testing at innovative software company
Deep experience in following technology competencies:
Extensive programming experience (preferred using C#)
Proficient in technologies like Scripting(vbscript /powershell /python), Web Tier, XML, Xpath
Experience in writing unit test
Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
Understanding of test driven development and continuous integration/deployment
Different kinds of databases: Relational, Flat etc.
Demonstrated ability to create complete test solution for applications/areas where no out
of the box testing approach/solution exist
Demonstrated innovation/accomplishments with specific products in the marketplace
Demonstrated proficiency in end to end SDLC best practices
Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies
Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
Nice to have:
Property and Casualty Insurance proficiency
Azure / Cloud exposure
Insight into security testing
Experience in stress and performance testing a web-based application. Job description/Key responsibilities
Should be able to drive quality solution for our products
o Define Release Test Plans and criteria for user acceptance including entry/exit criteria
o Plan, construct and execute test scripts and automation approach and drive quality in our solutions
o Create test models for release testing (Plans, data and scripts) including the identification, collection and/or creation of test data
o Execute release testing as appropriate
o Lead coordination and execution of Product release testing as appropriate
o Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts
o Update and test release installation procedures
Write high quality automated test for the code the developer is developing
Applying both business and functional knowledge, they develop end-to-end testing strategies a through the use of quality processes and methodologies.
Maintain and manage existing test framework and improve to help get release out of the door faster.
Should be able to hook them up in the existing or create new solution to improve the release velocity
Should be able to mentor and coach others
Requires analysis and solving of moderately complex problems. May create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures.
Requires understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Duck Creek.
