Software Engineer in Test - Kolkata - Keysight @ Keysight Technologies

As a Software Engineer in Test (SET), you will help in designing developing the testing framework for our products to meet high standards of quality, stability, performance, and reliability.
As a SET, you should be able to understand software designs, debug problems, write automated tests, and fix issues to improve the customer experience. You should be collaborating with other developers and product owners to understand features, contribute to technical design, and formulate test scenarios. You should seize this opportunity if you have a passion for customer needs, a good understanding of networking protocol and applications, and proven automation experience.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering/ Information technology or related field with 2 to 6 years of experience in automation/testing.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good programming debugging skills using Python or Go.
Ability to use scripting language (e.g. shell script, Python) to automate day-to-day tasks.

Understanding of modern Quality Assurance methodologies, life cycle, and processes.
The openness to manual testing exploratory testing with the intention to develop tools to automate the testing and analysis as much as possible.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team to achieve project goals, with minimum guidance.
Demonstrate interest in all things technology and have the ability to communicate with opinionated technologists across the company.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Open mind and ready-to-learn attitude.
Background in networking protocols (Routing/Switching, TCP, UDP, IP6 ,QUIC, HTTP-3, TLS etc.).
Experience with complex network topology and devices.
Running tests in CI/CD pipeline.
Experience/willingness in developing features, writing codes, fixing bugs using C/C++
Experience with deployment of VMs and different services on private and public cloud platforms e.g. OpenStack/VMware/AWS/GCP/Azure etc.
