Senior Scientist - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Philips India

• Design and develop applications for clinicians to be able to facilitate better decisions on diagnosis and treatment of the patients
• Develop and evaluate first-of-kind healthcare solutions to provide clinical decision support, improve clinical workflow and optimize patient outcomes
• Develop solutions as per the project plan and guide junior team members on their tasks
• Interact with clinical customers to understand their problems, understand clinical workflows, procedural workflows, share insights and best practices, and validate prototypes of solutions to assess their value in patient care
• Contribute to the patent portfolio. Write invention disclosures and (co-)author patent applications. Publish papers in reputed conferences and journals.
• To be able to connect with colleagues from global research labs and respective businesses to translate research activities to product ready features

•  To foster speeding up end-to-end innovation from idea to market, it is essential to manage the entire chain including the front end innovation which includes Exploration and Proof of Concept phases, as well as formal Product Realization. We partner with global Philips Research labs as well as Philips businesses market organizations.

To succeed in this role, you ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

• A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in design and development of algorithms using image processing, machine learning and AI techniques
• Experience in Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Signal processing
• Experience in healthcare domain especially Ultrasound is good to have

Qualification

• PhD (Computer Science/Electronics) with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Skill Set

• Knowledge of image processing, filter design, computer vision, classification of patterns
• Machine Learning/ Statistics concepts/Deep Learning/ AI
• Ultrasound knowledge and signal processing (Good to have)
• Should be hands-on in implementing algorithms in Python, Matlab, C++, etc
• Good track record of publications in reputed conferences and journals
