Software Technologist II - Java Automation @ Philips India

• Create automated and manual test specifications and test environments as per plan

• Executed manual and automated tests.

• Support the scrum teams in execution of test cases, test automation, ensure coverage and completeness of testing as per defined doneness criteria

• Provide estimates and execute verification activities of the project in consultation and alignment with partners and architects..

• Supports in risk management activities

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• 7 -10 Years of experience in software testing with 3-4 years of test automation expertise.

• Experience in building multiple automation frameworks. UI, API, backend, etc.

• Knowledge of any automation tool and scripting languages like Java, C#.

• Experience in any scripting languages like JavaScript/Python.

• Work experience on any performance test tools and scripting.

• Work experience on CI tools.

• Knowledge on database query writing.

• Work experience on cloud platforms.

• Work experience on web application automation. Preferably angular and react based applications.

• Knowledge on Linux commands.

• Knowledge on test methodologies and test life cycle.

• Awareness of testing practices.

• Experience in testing API based applications.

• Experience in development of API automation scripts using Rest Assured or other frameworks. Good to have exposure toward Karate framework.

• Hands-on experience on automation scripting using Java or any OOPs language.

• Knowledge of BDD approach of testing. Nice to have working experience on the same.

• Exposure toward testing UI based applications. Especially Web applications.

• Hands-on experience on cloud and micro services testing.

• String knowledge in Database testing and ability to write complex queries.

• Hands on experience in at least one defect management and test management tool

• Develop test specifications and execute them. Knowledge is health care domain is a plus
