Architect II - Bengaluru/Bangalore - Philips @ Philips India

You are responsible for

• Represents CT HOST in Roadmap forums across CT / AMI BIU
• Participates in establishing long term directions for software technologies and methodologies including tools to be used during design/development phase
• Participates in defining the HOST SW architecture and technology roadmap
• Owns HOST SSDS and associated external and internal interfaces
• Responsible for ensuring consistency in high-level SW design flow-down into detailed design, code and unit/module/integration testing
• Technical contact for implementation of external & internal interfaces
• Responsible for providing estimation for new projects
• Reviewer of detailed design and critical defect fixes
• Support risk management, feature integration, sub-system verification and defect management activities

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Min. of 5 years of increasing responsibility in software architecture for complex hardware platforms, preferably medical devices.
• Strong knowledge of software development and design in object oriented methodologies, architectural & design patterns and Microsoft Technologies (.NET, communication technologies like WCF, MQ)
• Additional exposure to Expert Systems like CLIPS, DROOLS, etc. will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and is able to think quickly and adeptly about how to address issues/problems
• B.E in Computer Science or M.E in Medical Software / Imaging Technologies / Software Engineering
• 12+ years of software development experience
• At least 5 years of experience in requirements analysis and translation into software architecture and design preferably in Imaging Systems products
