Position summary
The Enterprise EyeQ team within the development group at IHS Markit is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support all the DevOps needs of Enterprise EyeQ solutions. This team is responsible for the development and support of Enterprise EyeQ product and adding new features and enhancementsto enablestrategic and commercial roadmap items in the product line. This position will lead the DevOps team to provide innovative, creative and industry standard AWS Cloud native DevOps solutions for all Enterprise EyeQ needs.
This position demandsanexperiencedanddriven DevOps Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-value, high-impact solutions to the world's most demanding, high-profile clients.Incumbentshould have expertisein leadingthe development and deployment ofnative cloud-based solutions, possessa passion for container-based technologies,immutable infrastructure, and continuous delivery practices in deploying global software.
Responsibilities

• 
  Lead a small team of DevOps engineers to establish and drive creative, innovative and secure DevOps solutions in AWS.

• 
  Design deployment models forscalable, highly available, secure, and fault tolerant systems on AWS for the development and test lifecycle of AWS Cloud Native solutions

• 
  Define, organize and structureconfiguration andmanagement of entireAWS environment for usage with web applications, ETL solutions and efficientegressandingressof large data volumes.

• 
  Engage with development teams toprovide guidance anddocument and implement best practice (low maintenance) cloud-native solutions for new products

• 
  Focus on buildingDockerizedapplication components and integrating with AWS ECS

• 
  Contribute to application design and architecture, especially as it relates to AWS services

• 
  Define, establish and manageAWS security groups

• 
  Collaborate closely with the Technical Architects by providing input into the overall solution architecture

• 
  Lead the implementation of end to endDevOps technologies andprocesses i.e., containerization,CI/CD, infrastructure as code, metrics, monitoring etc.

• 
  Experience of networks, security, load balancers, DNS and other infrastructure components and their application to cloud (AWS) environments

• 
  Passion forproblemsolvingand taking onchallenging issues

• 
  Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve common goals

What you will need:

• 
  Strong understandingofnetworking, infrastructure, and applications from aDevOps perspective

• 
  Deep knowledge of AWSespecially with services likeECS/Fargate, ECR, S3/CloudFront, Load Balancing, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, RDS, CloudWatch, EC2and AWS Security Center

• 
  Expertise inmanaging AWS security groups

• 
  Expertise inbuilding scalable infrastructure in AWS

• 
  Expertisewith one or more AWS SDKs and/or CLI

• 
  Expertisein Automation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles

• 
  Experience with Docker containers

• 
  Experience with operational tools and ability to apply best practices for infrastructure and software deployment

• 
  Software design fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design and performance analysis

• 
  Experience working in an Agile Development environment

• 
  Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Education and Experience

• 
  Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience,Information Systems, Information Technology, or a similar majoror CertifiedDevelopment Program

• 
  5+years of experience managing AWS application environment and deployments

• 
  9+years of experience working in a development organization
