Position summary
We are seeking a bright, self-motivated Associate Director - DevOps Engineer to join our team. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for hands-on build-out, configuration, deploy, scale, orchestration and monitoring the supporting infrastructure and our release pipeline for global commercial software platforms. Candidate must be comfortable in driving Continuous Integration / Deployment initiatives in the cloud.
An ideal candidate would have process background in financial services sector.
Duties & accountabilities

• Automate and streamlining of our infrastructure, operations and deployment processes.
• Must have excellent knowledge of infrastructure as code.
• Tools and automation-based monitoring of production environments to provide proactive alerts on system health and reliability.
• Expert level background in Windows and/or Linux administration.
• Good background in AWS administration.
• Troubleshooting and resolving root cause issues in our dev, test and production internal and cloud environments.
• Team member role in on-time, high quality delivery of products through the entire application lifecycle.

Business competencies
Education and experience

• 10+ years of experience building enterprise DevOps pipelines in a commercial environment (still hands on)
• Experience with using Git
• Expert in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, CodeBuild or similar
• Deep knowledge of AWS Services including:
  • ECS/Fargate/ECR
  • S3
  • Lambda
  • VPC
  • Route 53
  • RDS
  • EC2, Load Balancing
  • CloudWatch
  • CloudFront
• Proven history of DevOps in AWS
• Good understanding of networking
• Experienced in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.
• Experienced in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or similar
• Experienced in Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar
• Containerization and Orchestration
