Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist team in training, scheduling, motivating and coaching team members and serve as a role model. 2. Accepting store deliveries.
  2. Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control. 4. Cook food and prepare top-quality items in a timely manner.
  3. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
  4. Chef is also required to ensure that all stocks are well maintained. Control food stock in his section/kitchen.
  5. Ensure that mise en place for food preparation is completed in your section. & ensure the quality of the food items.
  6. Follow and maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices in the kitchen. Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions.
  7. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared. Test food to ensure proper preparation and temperature.
  8. Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  9. Responsible to maintain food logs.
  10. To assist team with chopping, packing and helping/learning with dishes.
  11. Attend the training being conducted and implement in daily operations and improve the quality of food.
  12. Create & follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas.

Education: High school education or diploma in culinary is required.

Basic computer skills and

  • familiar with reading English.

Experience:

Must have worked in the kitchen for 3-4 years in Indian / Chinese Cuisine in any restaurant, hotel or catering

Must Have

  1. A person who enjoys working in a lively, fast-paced environment, someone who lives his hobby and is passionate about cooking and food.
  2. Must have worked in the kitchen for 3-4 years in Indian / Chinese Cuisine.
  3. Great teamwork skills, attention to detail, positive outlook and outgoing personality.
  4. Be Customer Focus first.
  5. Flexibility to work in any shift to assist as the business requires 

Good to Have:

  1. He has working/trained in the star hotel.
  2. Was a supervisor in his previous role. Handled a team before.
  3. Understanding to work on computer.
  4. Reading, Writing & can speaks English.
  5. Worked in multicuisine restaurant as an allrounder.
