Software Engineer 1, Security @ Juniper Networks

Job Description

• Work with product management and other cross functional teams to define, develop and understand functional & software architecture specifications to meet product requirements. Work with test teams for verification and compliance of the software so that it meets the customer expectations

• SW development in the areas of security services and platform optimization

• Design and develop flexible systems for both appliances and virtualized environment.

• Work with Technical support team for supporting escalations and sustenance of the product.

• Mentoring the new join s and supporting them succeed

• Candidate Requirements

• A strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices is must. The candidate should be dynamic, enthusiastic team player with a "can do" attitude. He must be open to fast changing technology, software development environments and practices

• Strong systems knowledge - understanding of multi-core and multi-threaded challenges, FreeBSD and/or linux internals.

• Experience developing software on L2/L3 layers of networking

• Strong C programming, data structures and debugging/problem identification and solving skills.

• Knowledge and understanding of Firewalls, Network Security, IoT security, Deep Packet Inspection and related technologies

• Knowledge of Virtualization concepts is a strong plus.

• Knowledge of switching and routing technologies is a plus

• Knowledge of High Availability systems is a plus

• Knowledge of Cloud computing and Cloud platforms is a plus

• Knowledge of SDWAN solutions is a plus
