JD - -Required Experience (Indicate nature and extent of work experience including minimum number of years required.)
1. 4-5+ years of Software testing experience (preferably in Financial Services sector) in following technologies and platforms Testing micro services (Restful API) , have experience writing test suites to verifying / compare data stored in DBMS (eg. Oracle, MSSQL) ,NoSQL like Hbase
2. 3+ years of experience in using tools for Manual testing, Automation and load testing of APIs.
3. Experience in verifying RESTFUl api usingtools like Postman or SoapUI
4. Proficiency in test tools like Selenium, Java (junit), Karate framework for API testing and Jmeter (load testing of API) tools.
5. Proficient in Agile delivery processes including Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration.
6. Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software
7. A team player who works collaboratively with other members of the project team to deliver quality solutions.
8. Demonstrates flexibility, versatility and ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and with frequently changed requirements.
9. Fluent in English, oral as well as in writing.
Job Duties & responsibilities (List the principal duties. Use concise statements that provide a clear understanding of the level of responsibility, complexity, creativity and analysis performed in this position.)
1. Analyzes functional and design specifications to fully understand the business requirements for developing APIs and compute jobs.
2. Provides estimates on work requirement for contribution to overall project timelines, and reports progress against work plan.
3. Create scripts and test data for manual and automation of testing for APIs and compute jobs.
4. Prepares test plans and test cases to test each API / compute job.
5. Perform manual, automation, and performance testing forAPIs; ascertain test results/ outcomes to meet the expected behaviours.
6. Handles design, definition, planning and development of virtualisation for APIs.
7. Produces periodical reports/ statistics on defects and test progress.
8. Communicates with other testers, developers, and other project team members for tracking & closure of issues and defects.
9. Provide support in the delivery and development process using methods such as Agile and Waterfall to delivery products and features as part of theAPI roadmap.
10. Stays abreast of QA & Testing best practices and latest available tools, frameworks and standards.
