Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support Equity Research Analyst of a global investment bank in carrying out research on a portfolio of companies
• Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage
• Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry
• Build and maintain databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators/industry KPIs
• Work on Financial Models update historical numbers, build projections, and carry out valuation
• Listen to and summarize investment conference calls
• Assist the Lead Analyst in preparation of company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.
• Develop roadshow presentations
• Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to conduct financial analysis
• Understanding of valuation methodologies
• Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)
• Well versed in building financial models with forecasting
• Ability to build client relations

• Ability to work independently Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems
• Knowledge of VBA, Excel Macros will be an added advantage

Education and experience

• MBA (Finance) /CA; CFA (US) would be an added advantage
• Experience: 37 years sell side equity research experience
