Job Description
We are looking for aSeniorManagerfor our DevOps team who is passionate about production systems, technical platforms on the cloud and lead devops teams.Migrating FOR products to the public cloud (Azure) will be a key mission.Having deeper knowledge and working exposure in systems architecture is a key trait.As a leader of the DevOps team, you will be working on production systems building containerized server farms, automating pipelines for deployment, alerting / monitoring of FOR related products, capacity planning, improve efficiencies of the operations
Your main responsibilities:
Production Systems / infrastructure:
- Responsible for the setup and build of the infrastructure be it in the public cloud like Microsoft Azure, or in our data center
- Implementation of infra setup using Docker, Kubernetes
- Propose, design new tools, frameworks for migrating products to public cloud (Azure), alerting, monitoring, automation
- Build pipelines for continuous deployment / delivery to production systems
- Quick turnaroundin helping the team arrive at a solution for production issues, migration activities (DB, cloud, etc.)
Decision-making capability:
- As the leader of the DevOPs team, you will be responsible for all activities in the span including planning, recruitment, feedback and growth of the team members
- Work closely with all the stakeholders in Amadeus globally to define the missions for the team and align with business needs
- Share best practiceswith other colleagues
- You should be self-driven and self-aware
About the ideal candidate
- Minimum of12+ years of experiencewithtechnical hands-on in production systems, devops for products &helping other team members
- Should have worked in managerial positions leading teams (size 10-15 members) for more than 3 years
Educational background:
- BE, B.Tech or MCA, MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years experience in DevOps role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Automation using JAVA, Python
- Cloud (Microsoft Azure preferred)
- Linux and Windows production systems, virtualization, RabbitMQ
- Containers: OpenShift / Kubernetes / Docker
- cI / CD Jenkins, automation using Groovy
- Alerting / Monitoring using Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus
- Microservice architecture API Gateways, HAProxy, load balancers, CDNs etc.
- Web servers, application servers: JBOSS, NGINX
- DB Servers Postgres, Couchbase, MS SQL Server
- Security hardening of servers, patch upgrades, security audits
- Deep understanding ofnon-functional requirements(NFR) and/or underlying technologies impacting final solution
- Able to convey technical information to stakeholders and/ or be able to influence technical decisions
- Awareness of latest technology trendsand standards in the industry.
