Notice Period: Immdiate/ Currently serving/ 30 days preferred
- Installation, Upgradation, and Configuration of VERITAS NetBackup Server & Client.
- Veritas appliance for Deduplicated storage.
- Configuring Policies, Storage Devices, Storage Units, Volumes.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting of backup environment including system-related log analysis from OS, Software (VERITAS NetBackup), and Hardware perspective
- Managing Backup policies, storage pools, Tape Libraries- Quantum Scalar, etc. for daily, weekly and monthly backups.
- Perform checks for capacity issues on the backup server, Configure and troubleshoot backup jobs Identify amp troubleshoot, Hung long-running long queued and slow backups
- Perform Tape Assessment, Tape Ejects amp Loads, perform data restoration from backup, Perform Media management, and process tapes for offsite storage by coordinating with Vendors
- Maintains and monitors backup infra and physical tape libraries Configure amp troubleshoot creating Storage policies, Sub client policies, Schedule policies, and NBU Networker tracker policies.
- Expertise in Disk/tape backups.
- Experience with configuring Oracle, SQL, SAP backup, NDMP backups, VMware VADP backup, SQL backup, exchange backup, etc.
- Taking Catalog backups and DB backups for recovery purposes.
- Successfully perform the system recovery and data restore requests. Catalog Backups and import Images.
- Work upon Change and Incident Tickets.
- Monitoring Active Monitor for any minor & major errors in backups, Restores or any other NetBackup operations.
- Perform backups, restores, analyzes logs and troubleshoots errors.
- Working on Tickets based on the severity level.
- Knowledge of shell scripting is an added advantage
- The administrator of EMC Networker backups and Veeam 10, Handling L2 and L3 task
- 6 - 8 years of experience working with Backups.
- DELLEMC Networker, version 18.X/19.X is preferred
- Veeam version 10 is preferred
- Experience working on NVP, NMM (SQL, Exchange) and NMDA module backup (Oracle, Lotus)
- Undertanding on networker DR and clients DR solutions
- Veeam scaleout repo
- Veeam VM level and agent level backups
- Exposure on performance and backup failure issues
- Administration of datadomain, Handling L2 task
- Knowlede on Datadomain CloudTier operation
- Basic knowledge of Operation Systems / databases / VMWare
Preferred:
- Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline.
- Relevant Backup certifications.
- Understanding of Service Now.
- Knowledege on Basics of Netbackup backup is an added advantage Graduate/B.E/B-Tech or Masters
