We are Hiring for Technical Manager - Python
Role Description:
As aTechnical Manager - Python, we look towards you as an expert with deep understanding of scalable and distributed application development and deployment in Agile DevOps environment. Your role would be to lead team(s) to achieve development goals with deep rooted programming experience for the next generation of products and solutions for in the domain of cyber security providing foundational security controls.
At the Incedo Cyber Security Center of Excellence in Pune you will be working on the products and solutions in the domain of cyber security providing fundamental security controls for a leading cyber security firm in USA (Tripwire). Tripwire delivers advanced threat protection, security and compliance solutions, enabling enterprises, government agencies and service providers to confidently detect, prevent and respond to cyber security threats to their business.
Role and responsibilities
As part of Cyber Security Center of Excellence team, your responsibilities includes providing technical guidance, technology evaluations,Proof of Concepts development, design review, development (includes hand on coding), investigate issues & defects, creating test strategy, review test cases, perform automated testing, manage CI-CD, handling production issues and scaling the products functionality. Ready to manage work/meetings that fall at customers time zone (USA TZ).
Here are the key role expectations:
- Lead the development & integration of product/service lines.
- Provide technical guidance to the development teams.
- Design end to end solution, ensuring best possible value for customers in cyber security.
- Deconstructing a large feature to smaller pieces and defining the pieces that can compose a releasable product
- Central focal point for all parties outside the R&D department about Attributes, Features & adaptability of product.
- Develop and maintain product & domain knowledge, define POA (Plan of attack) , review PR (Pull request) etc. throughout product life-cycle.
- Manage and lead team of engineers (15-25 people)
Primary skills requirements
The candidate must meet most of these aspects:
- Strong hands-on expertise on Python, Linux and Postgres (SQL based DB) technologies
- Good to have experience on any network product (i.e. familiarity with network protocols, rules and dependencies).
And/Or
- Experience System programming (e.g. Linux kernel internals/APIs).
- People management and technical project management experience of min. 2 yrs (with 15+ team size) is a must.
- Hands on experience on debugging the issue in complicated system setup.
- Deep understanding and experience of scalable architecting, development and deployment of end to end distributed applications
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile process, project tracking, monitoring and risk management.
- Good understanding of advanced Development and Test methodology.
- Deep knowledge of the any product & domain, and understanding of how customers use it
Nice-to-have skills
Person having some of the below skillset would have added advantage:
- Having experience with Cyber Security domain would be a major plus
- Experience with C/C++ development (preferably with OS/system level interfaces)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline with detailed understanding of Git, Jenkins, Artifactory and Terraform.
- Exposure to any SQL based Databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Test Driven Development (TDD) mindset and orientation of 100% test automation
Soft skills Competencies
- People management experience of min. 2 yrs (with 15+ team size) is a must.
- Problem solving mind and attitude
- Effective communication skills written, spoken, listening and presentation
- Assertive negotiation, collaboration and conflict management skills
- Great Team player and experience working with global teams and global organizations
- Genuine interest in learning and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent. Preferably Master degree in computer science.
