Job Description

Civil engineering interns will typically perform various tasks, including preparing and monitoring documents, working closely with the civil engineer to resolve issues and review complaints, and preparing plans and maps.

About The Internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: Making material, labor & overheads estimation reports of the project by studying the BOQ Preparing the budget of the project Working on cost control throughout the project period Working on purchase management Identifying & negotiating with the vendors Making requests for proposals (RFQ), purchase orders (PO) & work orders (WO) Preparing vendor's & subcontractor's bills Preparing client bills

Responsibilities:

Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
Assess potential risks, materials and costs
Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
