Salary Package : 5.5 Lakhs to 7.5 Lakhs per Annum (Depending on Experience & Exposure)


We are Hiring a Communications Officer (Gujarat) for our Not-for-Profit Client who are is a not-for-profit, exclusively committed to eradicating child undernutrition, through a three-pronged approach of raising awareness, implementing direction intervention projects in vulnerable geographies and conducting research to understand the underlying causes of malnutrition and has touched over 7 lakh lives in India the past five years. They are a member of a leading global network working in more than 45 countries and supporting around 20 million people. They drive change from the ground up, to make this world free from hunger. Their work has impacted the lives of 15 million individuals globally, through a network of 7100 humanitarian professionals across 50 countries. In India, their operations focus on taking decisive action against the causes and effects of malnutrition. Through grassroots interventions, we equip people with knowledge and awareness, so they can see their children grow up strong, and enable whole communities to prosper.


About the role:

The Communications Officer is expected to develop exceptional content and design promotional material for projects, for external audiences. Additionally, this role will support project design and implementation on a need basis.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies and annual communication plans in consultation with the Leadership Team to ensure effective outreach.
  • Support in liaising/ networking with multiple stakeholders and partners to build the company brand and help in mobilizing resources.
  • Provide editorial support and direction in developing progress reports, case studies, project factsheets, presentations, and technical briefs as per organization and program mandate.
  • Lead the design and development of high-quality communications materials, including conceptualization, messaging, localization of content, translations, artworks etc.
  • Draft content to regularly update website and social media platforms
  • Support in conceptualizing and organizing events like round table discussions, workshops, and exhibitions
  • Build communication campaigns to highlight project work and/or create understanding of specific programmatic issues of public interest
  • Monitor branding of programs by staff and partners to ensure donors/potential donors, as well as other key stakeholders have a positive disposition regarding the consortium partners and the program
  • To carry out any communication related work as may be assigned by the line manager from time to time.
  • Support the development and editing of concept notes and proposals to be submitted to various stakeholders including corporates and other funding organizations
  • Coordinating with colleagues in the program team to compile the information required for developing concept notes and proposals
  • Collect content in the field- photos, stories, testimonial videos etc. Support in making videos on the success of the program
  • Be the guardian of the company brand and ensure that all brand standards are met in all communication collaterals
  • Perform any other relevant duties/ work assigned in the interest of the program by the supervisor.

Education and Experience

  • Masters degree from a recognized University in one of the disciplines: Social-Work, Public Health, Nutrition, Rural development, Rural Management or Mass Communications
  • Should have three to five years experience in a similar role

Compensation: Between 5,50,000 to 7,50,000 INR CTC per annum, the final pay will be decided based on experience and expertise.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spoken and written Gujarati, and In English are required for the role.

Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time to Bhavnagar and Sabarkantha, occasional travel to Mumbai or Delhi.
