Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Job Description:1. Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate (i.e., to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM/CPT-4 codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance). Under the direction of Health Information Management, must be able to accurately code conditions and procedures (Radiology) per the Coding Guidelines.2. Need to handle complaints from clients, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution3. Thoroughly reviews all documentation in the medical record and assigns codes for all diagnoses, treatments, and procedures according to the appropriate classification system for outpatient and Inpatient encounters.4. Consistently meets all productivity and quality metrics.5. Should be familiar with Coding Tools such as Encoder Pro.6. Knowledge of insurance portals to look for Coding and Billing guidelines (Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPO, HMO etc.).
Job Requirement:
1. Must be willing to work in night shift.2. Knowledge of ICD, CPT and Modifiers.3. Hands-on experience in MS Office.4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.6. Keep records of interactions, process accounts and file documents.7. Understanding of medical terminology.8. Good analytical skills.9. CPC not mandatory.10. Shift timings will be 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM.
