Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Creation ongoing maintenance of custom data warehousing, reporting, and data-delivery solutions to support strategic and analytical data uses as well as supporting system integration needs that rely on data manipulation to make analysis and visualization possible.
- Work directly with business teams and internal customers to analyze understand business needs in support of the Enterprise Data Strategy.
- Design and implement a flexible platform for operational data stores, data warehouses, data marts and data lakes using standard practices as well as documenting the systems of record, data dictionaries and data flow diagrams for strategic data management.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
- Implement best practice data quality assurance mechanisms.
- Create process flows, high-level functional and detailed technical design specifications.
- Participate in the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance.
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
- Ability to make good judgments, decisions, negotiate and problem solve.
- Do POCs on the latest cloud technologies like Azure/AWS.
- 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor s degree or an advanced degree.
- Expertise in SQL query, building complex SQL procedures and functions, optimizing SQL query and database.
- Expertise in SQL table design, database design best practices.
- Expertise in Power BI data model design using SSAS tabular model.
- Expertise in optimization tabular model design, building KPI , Measures, partitions, perspective etc.
- Strong knowledge in PowerBI integration with SSAS , SQL, or any other source.
- Strong knowledge in DAX, writing complex business requirements into DAX and TMSL, dimension modeling.
- Strong knowledge in PowerBI UI and visualization designs and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of Datawarehouse concepts , database concepts, OLAP and OLTP.
- Experience in Agile methodology and CICD - configuration management, test automation, deployment automation, using industry standard CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge on Master data management and Data Quality services.
Industry experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning technologies (Spark ML, PyTroch, Tensorflow, NLP ) is a plus.
] - C sharp/JavaScript/Python/Java programming language experience is a plus for writing custom automation scripts when necessary.
