Epam is hiring Java Solution Architects for Across India with 12 years to 18Years of experience
Below is the JD for the role
Responsibilities:
- Experience building high-availability, large-scale payments-related systems, in financial services
- Working knowledge on the flow of transactions of Payment channels; switches, domestic/international schemes, issuer/acquirer/bilateral hosts, and networks.
- Experience with various messaging standards SWIFT, ISO, XML, IFX
- Understanding of security components around payments value chain eKYC, Fraud Management, AML, PCI DSS.
- Exposure to the latest digital payment trends virtual cards, digital wallets, social app payments, connected payments.
- Leads software engineering projects and creates the development and delivery of enhanced software solutions. Hands-on developer who writes high-quality, secure code that is modular, functional, and testable.
- Researches alternative technical solutions for changing business needs.
- Responsible for managing the overall cloud architecture and investigation of new technologies to help the platform evolve at the speed of business
- Create solutions with a high level of innovation, cost-effectiveness, high quality, and faster time to market.
- Master of design principles such as DRY, Single Responsibility, SOLID
- Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities of the team to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Drives measurable improvements in the maintenance, operational, and runtime characteristics of your teams software.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify and scope the opportunities, outline potential value and ROI, and identify risks, benefits, and constraints.
- Develop an overall strategic technical plan and create architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps. As a recognized subject matter expert, lead the planning, design, and implementation of technical solutions
- Partner with Technical Project Managers in the implementation of processes per the evolving needs of the team and the solutions.
- Ensure adequate test coverage in Unit Testing, System Testing/Integration Testing, and Performance Testing. Perform Quality Inspections and Walkthroughs throughout the SDLC including Requirements Review, Architecture Review, Design Review, Code Review, and Security Review to ensure compliance with MasterCard standards. Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics.
- Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
- Mentor and guide other team members during all phases of the SDLC
- Successfully lead production incident and problem management, identification of root cause, and permanently corrected within the application and dependent systems.
- Develop documentation templates, and lead and enforce the development of documentation throughout the development lifecycle of the solution.
- Ensure compliance with Audit Requirements by proactively educating the team on Compliance Requirements and Integrating Compliance Requirements in SDLC. Represent team during Compliance Audits.
- Advocate principles through speaking engagements outside of the current organization/platform
Must-Have skills:
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience in Java, Spring Frameworks, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Oracle Database, PL/SQL, JDBC, Web Services (SOAP and REST)
- Expert in modern software design principles such as SOLID, DRY, and Single responsibility
- Proficiency with cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, serverless technology, NoSQL databases), micro-service design. Knowledge with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any other cloud platform AWS or Azure or GCP is preferred.
- Hands-on exp with ReactJS or Angular
- CI/CD, DevOps, Sonar integration
- Experience in delivering secure solutions in Financial Services Sector is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering concepts and methodologies are required.
- Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written, collaboration skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools and support multiple concurrent activities.
