Job Description
Quantium is Australia s leading data- driven strategy and analytics consultancy. After 10 years of strong growth, we are now expanding our business in our new office in Hyderabad.
Position Summary
Software Developer is responsible for requirements analysis and object modelling of new software features and ensuring adequate testing and quality control measures are followed. The ideal candidates should have very strong technical ability and be able to apply programming techniques to solve complex problems. They should also have well developed written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Designing and developing new feature s functionality and data structures
Enhancing and maintaining existing software products - from the development of new functionality, to small scale redesign, to bug fixing if necessary
Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field
0 to 1 year experience
Flexible and adaptable to changing environments - working in a matrix system
Displays confidence, maturity and shares knowledge to help develop and support the team
Ability to work under pressure and uses high level of judgement in problem solving
Self- motivated and proactive nature, looking at methods for continuing improvements
Ability to accept direction and suggestions for personal development
Contributing to the evolving technology strategy and development methodologies
Supporting the development needs of the internal actuarial business team
Providing application support, maintenance and client issue resolution
Efficient database design with SQL Server
Integrating API s into an existing codebase Desired Skills
Strong object orientated design, analytical and problem solving skills
Experienced in debugging, diagnosing, and trouble- shooting the issues
Proficiency in OOPS, C# / Java is a plus
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms is advantageous
Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field is a plus
Excellent communication skills facilitating interaction with technical and non- technical individuals
Understanding and passion for software quality assurance and process improvement
Effectual time management to complete projects and activities to agreed deadlines Qualifications Essential Personal Attributes
