ASSISTANT MANAGER - LOGISTICS- NAVI MUMBAI
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying and contracting with dependable and consistent courier and logistics companies for domestic transportation of inbound and outbound material
- Daily advance planning for inbound and outbound material movement
- Identifying and contracting with dependable and consistent CHA, courier, and logistics companies for international transportation of inbound and outbound material
- Manage the internal logistics team efficiently and deploy them across the domestic territory as well in bringing down costs
- Coordinate with Sales, Stores, Production, Purchase, QC, Customer Service, and external vendors as well as customers for smooth functioning of above operations
- Coordinate with Production and Sales departments on working out for the efficient transportation of finished goods
- Proactively share information on movements of material where necessary and be the primary responsible person for coordinating with all concerned parties, once material has left our premises till it reaches end destination and vice versa
- Prepare and submit timely and meaningful MIS
- Preparation of necessary documents for Insurance claims, coordinate with Agent and complete the claim
- Prepare dispatch related documentation for Domestic as well as international dispatches
- Develop and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

Manage the department including the in-house logistics teams and assets well. Should be able to motivate and enthuse the logistics team
- Analytical knowledge: For analysing historical data and for futuristic approach
- Knowledge about and experience in light motor and commercial vehicles
