Advisory Software Engineer - Pune,Noida @ Pitney Bowes India

As an Advisory Software Engineer (Full Stack: Java Spring, Angular, AWS ) you would work with a team of engineers and develop new experiences for clients as part of a client facing application. You will be required to integrate with multiple internal ERPs and ensure the best CICD / Automation / QA practices are followed. You will also be required to focus on code quality for all the layers in the stack.

The Job

• This person will work with a highly integrated, cross-discipline agile team and will be responsible for building and supporting high performance client facing application leveraging PB s Design System and Enterprise Architecture principles in the Global eCommerce business unit.
• Hands on expertise with at least one of Java Spring Boot or Angular (having expertise in both would be a big plus)
• Experience in writing/updating SQL queries
• CICD using Gitlab and deployment on AWS environments. Any exposure and experience of working on these areas will be a big plus
• Participate in design review sessions and ensure all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications and perform as per the required specifications.
• Hands on and up to date with the latest technology stack on Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS Cloud).
• Be a team player and be an advisor to the junior developers; collaborate effectively.
• Take ownership of all assigned tasks and product related assignments
• Ensures timely completion of tasks in line with product development objectives
• Display ownership of the components and the experience at large

Required Qualifications Skills

This role requires a talented self-directed individual with a strong teamwork ethic and the following skills:

Must have:

• Hand on experience working on Angular 8+
• Hands on experience working on Java Enterprise technical stack .

• Experience is at least 1 cloud environment
• Hands on experience working on enterprise grade software with focus on scalability, reliability, Uptime, cost optimization amongst other non-functional objectives.
• Exposure to GitLab, Jenkins, Jira tools for Agile development CI/CD, Terraform, CloudFormation
• A basic understanding of AWS Infra like instance creation, monitoring, and alerting.

Good to have:

• Work with distributed teams to design and develop frameworks, solution accelerators, proofs of concept, and external customer facing products

• Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into new and existing frameworks and solutions as applicable
• Adhere to best practices and also advise the team and management of improving processes around software development
• Collaborate with and mentor members of the team and other coworkers

• UG - B.Tech/B.E. OR PG M.S. / M.Tech from any other reputed institute
