Job Description

What the Candidate Will Do

• Providing leadership and manage the team that would build and develop the Core backend for Growth systems and data strategy which will impact overall Growth and Marketing platform
  
• Engineering Quality and efficiency of the backend systems that power Rider products and tools.
  
• Collaborating with multiple Uber teams to build the bridge between business stakeholders, executive leaders and senior engineers.
  
• Lead and grow a strong engineering team responsible for the next generation architecture for Uber communication gateway for multiple channels.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a manager and overall 12+ years of industry experience in a variety of contexts, during which you've built scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems.
  
• Ability to contribute, influence and drive backend platform Initiatives that can serve multiple product lines using multi-tenant architectures and micro services principles.
  
• You have a solid understanding of the building micro services at scale: front-end, back-end, databases, caches, network protocols, etc. Prior experience with big data technologies is an added advantage.
  
• You are comfortable jamming on complex architecture and design principles with senior engineers.
