Job Description
CCTV technician provides preventive and remedial maintenance services on various ESS systems to include; IDS, ACS, CCTV, gates and turnstiles, cameras, duress switches, card readers, and fiber optic data transmission systems.
Technicians are skilled professionals employed in almost every industry. They repair, install, replace, and service different systems and equipment. Technicians typically work alongside other skilled workers and should be able to read instructions and communicate effectively.
Sample responsibilities for this position include:
To service the Companys product portfolio as directed in an effective and cost efficient manner
To represent the Company with credit
To ensure regular communication with the Field Operations Manager to advise progress and problems which may require his assistance
To ensure that at all times tools, vehicles and safety equipment are regularly maintained in good and safe working order and that test gear is regularly calibrated and labelled as required by ISO9000
When appropriate to appoint and manage sub-contractors on site ensuring their work is neat, workmanlike and conforms to all the necessary statutory regulations
To maintain all paperwork and documentation up-to-date and to communicate appropriately with the Customer Service Administration Office to receive work and report progress in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established procedures
To be aware of all contract possibilities and add on business opportunities
To observe and promote safe working practices and help maintain depots in a tidy and workmanlike manner
Performs ther duties as assigned
Perform routine operator level preventive maintenance on CCTV digital video and fiber optics equipment
Continually travel and be able to satisfy all foreign travel requirements
Assist with the configuration, deployment, and support of network assets, including POS systems, sound, SFTV
Performs service/installation of closed circuit television systems, and other various security related systems
Performs computer program entry as required to add closed circuit television cameras, access control devices as needed
Experience performing work in troubleshooting and

Service, install, troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance and inspections on Tyco Integrated Fire & Security products
Service, Installation and programming of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems
Training of the end user on TIFS systems
Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on Tyco Retail Solutions retail products and equipment at customer sites
