Systems Engineer - Corporate Systems @ Factset Systems

Job Description

 

Responsibilities:

Create, design, develop and implement new systems to enhance the FactSet product
Manage and monitor all systems to ensure stability, security and performance
Analyze system requirements and develop solutions to restraints
Serve as a contact to troubleshoot, debug, and tune various systems related issues
Provide support and respond to systems related engineering requests and incidents
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

5-7 years of experience in related field
Bachelor s degree in related field required
Understanding of systems engineering technologies from the design stage through implementation
Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Well organized and can handle multiple tasks at once
Strong skills in Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and Words
Ability to adapt to constantly changing technologies and challenges

Desired Skills:

• Experience in administration of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012/2012 R2/2016
• Good understanding of Active directory infrastructure.
• Experience with File Servers, DFS and printer management.
• Experience with SCCM patching, software packaging, Operating system deployment.

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 products, and troubleshooting mail flows will be added advantage for this role.
• Good knowledge of systems maintenance procedures

• Exposure to Mobile Device Management

• Good knowledge in storage (array controllers, RAID types, logical volume management)
• Ability to produce high quality documentation

• 3-6 years experience in the IT industry
• (Powershell, create scripts from blank page.)

• Experience in solving technical systems problems safely and quickly
• Good knowledge in HP, Dell server hardware
• Experience adapting On-Prem workflows for migration to public cloud
• Experience with AWS/Azure public cloud services
• Having Hyper-V experience will be added advantage.
