Desired Candidate Profile
Works directly with software developers, product managers, and content editors to evaluate and test new or modified software programs, communicate status, follow software development procedures to ensure that programs function according to user requirements and established guidelines.Writes, revises and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain (maintain) quality of software.
Makes recommendations for program improvements or corrections
Exhibits leadership skills while spending the majority of time being hands-on; executing manual tests and scripting automated test scenarios
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
2-5 years QA experience (system, integration, functional, and regression testing)
Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
2-5 years experience developing complex scripted tests using an automated test tools desired
Experience with QA Load Testing and Automation, preferably Telarik Test Studio & Telerik Frame Work
Experience with mobile testing and applications
Knowledge of JavaScript and how to QA in multiple browser environments.
Solid understanding of development lifecycle
Experience reviewing requirement documents to ensure that requirements are achieved
Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
Working knowledge of SQL 2005/ 2008
Experience testing a variety of different types of software products, system architectures, OS platforms and languages desired
Excellent communication and trouble-shooting skills with keen ability to solve problems
Ability to work well independently and with a group
Well organized and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Accepts change positively and may help others adapt to change
Thrives in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work nights and weekends on an as-needed basis
