About the Department / Super Department

FRM IT is a global IT organization with 200+ members spread over three continents. The department is responsible for developing and overseeing the enterprise technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to enable Morgan Stanley to comply with international regulatory frameworks for calculating regulatory capital levels , enforcing risk governance , and providing comprehensive reporting and disclosure. The department is executing an ongoing program of work to extend the capabilities of the Firm Risk platform to meet both internal and external requirements. Our clients include Risk Managers and Middle Office stake holders responsible for managing the Firm's Market , Credit and Operational risk.
Job Responsibilities
An application developer with strong DB skills and working experience in Java / Big Data technology is needed to work in FRM IT - Market Risk Exposure development team in India. The FRM IT Market Risk Exposure team is responsible for collecting , transforming , storing and adjusting the data from various firm risk systems and makes it available for downstream calculations such as VaR , Capital , Stress scenarios. The ideal candidate should have hands - on experience in designing and building systems in a multi - tiered enterprise environment. The position requires strong Database Design / Stored Procedure / SQL development experience , working experience in Big Data , experience in Core Java , strong analytical capability and problem solving skills. Excellent communication , teamwork , and interpersonal skills are required. The developer must be capable of working independently on large projects , interacting with business analysts , and working effectively as part of a team consisting of local and remote team members.

Experience Level

4 - 11 Years of Experience in Software Development
Skills Required

4+ years Database Design / Stored Procedure / SQL development

1+ years Core Java

Excellent analytical ability and problem solving skills

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Should be well versed with SDLC process and related tools like Jira , Perforce , QC.
