Desired Candidate Profile

Responsibilities? :

Work with peers in development and test and development team lead to develop test cases for new security features and device support
Understand the requirement to analyze support of new features or device support requested by product management quickly. This analysis is known as Knowledge Engineering.
Work with business development to get contacts and software access required for technical analysis and test bed.
Participate actively in knowledge sharing sessions to improve networking and security knowledge to innovate new features and solutions
Understand and follow current test strategy, process and tools
Ensure high quality user experience by conceptualizing and testing user flows
Design and develop test scenarios and test cases
Perform debugging and root cause analysis for failures
Write automated test cases to ensure the adequate coverage for fixes and regression- free deliverables.
Follow customer issues to proactively take up quality improvement initiatives
Identify and adopt new testing methodologies, best practices, and tools from appropriate sources, to improve test coverage.
Participate in code reviews and bug fixes when required Skills and characteristics required? :

At least 3 Hands on functional testing experience on networking/ network management products
Atleast 5 years on testing network/ security management applications
Very Strong knowledge of TCP/ IP and routing concepts. Good knowledge of network scanners and firewalls
Networking certifications from Cisco, Juniper and Checkpoint highly desirable
Strong in debugging, troubleshooting and problem solving.
Quick learning curve in applying concepts to understand various 3rd party products for supporting them
Experience working with product managers to define requirements and usability of features
exposure to JTest, JUnit and other unit test frameworks an advantage
Exposure to Agile is an added advantage
Passion for engineering excellence through automation and process improvements
Strong ability to influence others using good written and verbal communication skills and customer facing skills

UG:   B.Tech/B.E.

PG:  Post Graduation Not Required
