Job Description

Exp: 8-15 years

Location:  Hyderabad

Domain: Logistics domain/ Freight Management Software development

 

Technology stack: JAVA, JSF, Big data - Cassandra, Postgres, Web services / Rest services with JAX RS  

He/ She will be independent and facilitate the development operations within the company.

  1. Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and iteration retrospective
  2. Manage the engineering development projects and facilitates sprint releases
  3. Create or analyze business requirements documents and project timelines
  4. Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates
  5. Drive team iteration execution, communicates with management and stakeholders, protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional)
  6. Manage project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance
  7. Work with the team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks
  8. Able to do post mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
  9. Leads team effort in relentless improvement, define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program
  10. Implement and support principles, rules and processes Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate flow
  11. Maintain team data in project management software (i.e. JIRA, KB, etc.) to support estimates and execution
  12. Presents high level project readouts for senior management Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope
  13. Manage other special projects as assigned Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile procedures to predict the development teams needs
  14. Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning
  15. Generate resource utilization reports on weekly basis (per sprint) and submit them to project manager.
  16. Keep updating the BRD /SRS /HLD/LLD

Required Skills

  1. Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for 2-4 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  2. Experience in Freight Management or Logistics Management domain is a plus Ready to work in 12 PM -9 PM shift
  3. Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  4. Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
  5. Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Freight Management required skills:

  1. Establishing contact with, selecting, and engaging carriers and transportation companies
  2. Negotiating terms and conditions, rates, and expectations associated with the transportation of goods
  3. Preparing the appropriate labelling and paperwork to accompany all goods in transit
  4. Dispatching and scheduling these carriers to pick up and deliver goods at desired times
  5. Planning for optimization of mode selection, vehicle routing and load balancing
  6. Tracking the movement of these goods throughout the Supply Chain
  7. Engaging and working with Customs Brokers and ensuring customs compliance
  8. Ensuring the appropriate insurance is in place to cover the cost of goods in transit
  9. Handling any freight claims
  10. Managing and overseeing the receipt and payment of invoices associated with the transportation of goods
  11. Looking for opportunities to optimize the movement of goods to improve delivery performance, reduce transit time, reduce cost, and lower environmental impacts
