Rakuten owns Viber instant messaging application, Kobo e-Reader, Wuaki on-demand streaming content, and Viki - video sharing and subtitling application.
Required skills and traits:
- At least 10 years of experience in software product development and architecture
- Demonstrated experience architecting large scale internet applications
- Ability to translate business requirements into design artefacts and communicate concepts effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Expertise in Java, J2EE and server technologies and frameworks such as Web services (REST) and Spring, as well as databases (Relational and non-relational)
- Experience with large scale, distributed computing and big data concepts
- Knowledge of client side technologies such as JSF, JQuery and AngularJS
- Knowledge of architectural and design patterns and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Sound in computer science and programming fundamentals including Data Structures and Algorithms
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Unix and networking
- Knowledge of Build and Release concepts including Continuous integration and deployment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Agile software development methodology and working with distributed development teams

PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
